Conversational Business Chair from the University of Valencia was invited to participate at the “Jornades Destaca” held at Les Coves de Vinromà, Castellón on May 12th and 13th, with the conference: “The digital transformation of Vila-real in WhatsApp third generation: the case of the agri-food sector” by José Pérez, Strategic Director of the Chair.

The Fair had a wide institutional representation from the Generalitat Valenciana, the Diputación de Castellón, the Universitat Jaume I and the CEEI of Castellón, as well as different businessmen.

Third generation WhatsApp for the agri-food sector

During the presentation, Pérez talked about the reason of using third generation WhatsApp. Also, he discussed how to reduce communication problems with customers, suppliers, employees and users

The speaker went into detail about the scenarios of its use in the agri-food sector, the different versions of WhatsApp and four use cases of companies seeking to increase the efficiency of their communication processes.

The intervention of the Chair of Conversational Business of the University of Valencia brought good expectations among the attendees, organizers and other participants of the event. The attendees highlighted how to visualize with real examples some of the solutions offered by WhatsApp as a working tool for the sector.

Future uses for the agri-food sector

Following the presentation, the round table was held: “Hybrid solutions between technology and agriculture”, moderated by Sonia Tirado, General Director of Innovation of the Generalita Valenciana. The round table discussed various opinions on possible and future challenges, changes, solutions and applications of technology for the sector.

Also participating were Jose Perez and other experts and businessmen.

The Agro-food Innovation Day was born within the framework of the fair “Destaca”, and was organized by the Chair of Ceramic Innovation “Ciutat de Vila-real” of the Jaume I University in collaboration with the “Pacto Territorial Plana Alta Nord” and the City Council of the Caves of Vinromà.

It is consolidated as a reference in the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge of the Valencian Community and it is promoted by the Chair of Ceramic Innovation of the Universitat Jaume I with the collaboration of the Ministry of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society.

Thus, the Chair of Conversational Business of the University of Valencia once again reinforces its commitment to promote the ecosystem of stakeholders necessary for the ethical and global development of conversational business.
